Connect your Vivo to your Mac
Vivo sits in the same background-hostile tier as OPPO and Xiaomi — and it’s under-tested in the West, so most tools never got it right. Pier’s per-brand setup does.

Keep Pier connected on Vivo — the checklist
- Auto-start manager → allow Pier (off by default) so it can start and restart.
- Add Pier to the “High background power consumption” allow-list so it isn’t frozen for staying connected.
- Settings → Battery → Pier → allow background activity / don’t optimize.
- Lock Pier in Recents.

Why Vivo needs this
Vivo’s battery stack behaves like ColorOS: with auto-start off it won’t let Pier restart after a kill, and its background-power reaper freezes persistent connections. Because Vivo is under-represented in Western beta pools its quirks are easy to under-measure, so Pier treats it with the same full exemption checklist as OPPO. Set these and the link holds across sleep and reboot.
Tested devices. We have not run Pier on a Vivo handset. Two phones have been through the lab — a Samsung Galaxy A26 and an OPPO A5 Pro — and the checklist above comes from Vivo’s own documented power-management behaviour, which is what the in-app wizard ships.
